Fishers man sentenced to over 16 years for drug and gun offenses

A Fishers man has been sentenced to more than 16 years behind bars for drug trafficking and firearm possession.

Taurean Young, 40, was sentenced in U.S. District Court in South Bend after pleading guilty to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and fentanyl.

Court documents reveal that in May 2023, Young sold a pound of high-purity meth on two separate occasions. In June 2023, authorities found Young in possession of a firearm. A search of his home uncovered another pound of meth, four ounces of fentanyl, a second firearm, and body armor.

It should be a quick trip through the felon zapper, not three hots and a cot for the next 16 years when he can then do it all over again.
