Developers are transforming a former assisted living building in Mishawaka into a new addiction treatment center aimed at expanding recovery options in northern Indiana.
The facility, previously known as Heritage Point, will offer 60 in-patient beds, 12 for detox and 48 for longer-term care.
It will become the second center of its kind in the state, following a successful opening in Columbus. Leaders say they want to meet growing demand for treatment and give people battling addiction a fresh start.
