The Benton Harbor Area Schools Board of Education has named an Interim Superintendent.

Christopher Bernick, the current Director of Special Education, was named interim superintendent and will assist with the transition once a new superintendent is chosen.

Three finalists have been chosen for the superintendent position after interviews were conducted over the weekend.

Jeff Dase, Deputy Superintendent of the Rock Island-Milan School District, Simone Griffin, Regional Director of Learnwell Educational Services in Illinois, and Dallas Lee, Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services and Opportunities of the Elementary School District 159 in Illinois, were chosen as finalists.

Community members can meet the finalists during a Meet and Greet at the Benton Harbor High School Library on June 24 at 5 p.m.
