ISP investigating fatal crash involving bicyclist

Indiana State Police are investigating a fatal crash involving a bicycle and a car that happened just after 12 p.m. on Thursday, June 19, in the 2100 block of North Main Street/State Road 19 in Nappanee.
Police say a 90-year-old man was riding a three-wheeled bicycle northbound when he turned left into a business driveway and into the path of a southbound 2008 Hyundai.
The man was thrown from the bike and died at the scene despite life-saving efforts.
The 63-year-old woman driving the Hyundai was not injured.
Neither alcohol nor drugs are suspected to be factors in this crash however toxicology tests will be completed as required by Indiana law on all parties involved in serious bodily injury and fatal crashes.
