Niles man facing jail time for attempting to contact minor for immoral reasons

A Niles man has been sentenced to after attempting to contact a minor for immoral purposes…
Stephen Frank Gill, 38, pleaded guilty and was sentenced to three years probation, 150 days in jail with most of that time already served, and must register as a sex offender.
The incident occurred in February in Howard Township when a member of an organization dedicated to catching online predators posed as an underage female and interacted with Gill.
She reported that Gill sent explicit photos and videos. Leader Publications reports Gill apologized to his family, the court, and the community for his actions.
