After having his competency restored, a man is back in court.

Tyris Jennings is pleading guilty to a charge of robbery resulting in serious bodily injury.

The Goshen News says Jennings and another man shot a 45-year-old while robbing a Kentucky Fried Chicken in 2019. The shooting left the man paralyzed.

Jennings was sent to a state mental hospital for competency restoration, and on Thursday he returned and pleaded guilty to attempted robbery and criminal recklessness.

His sentencing is scheduled for September 4.
