The South Bend Community Schools placed transportation director LaToya King on administrative leave and offered her a new role in Human Resources.

School board member Bill Sniadecki says King risks termination if she declines the reassignment.

Meantime, Robert Durm, who was formerly the transportation director at Dowagiac Schools, will serve as interim director.

The district’s Chief Financial Officer, will oversee the department.
