La Casa de Amistad has received a grant to pay for a new shared-use kitchen.

The $267,000 grant comes from the City of South Bend’s Redevelopment Commission to support the completion of the new commercial kitchen.

It’s a shared-use facility that can be rented by members of the public, including food truck operators, caterers, entrepreneurs and small businesses.

Professional-grade work tables, prep sinks, freezers, fridges, ovens and more will all be featured in the kitchen, allowing for safe and efficient food production. Renovations are scheduled for this fall.

Tax dollars paid for this because… ? More grift, more graft, more waste from the South Bend corruption machine.
