Lincoln Township Trail Project approved by Berrien Co.

(95.3 MNC)

Berrien County’s Board of Commissioners has greenlit the Lincoln Township Trail Project.

Lincoln Township is looking to build a shared use, non-motorized path along South Roosevelt Road from Hidden Pines Road to Marquette Woods Road.

WSJM reports the project, approved with MDOT, would include asphalt, a modular block wall, curb ramps, a boardwalk, a pedestrian bridge, landscaping, and signage. The cost is estimated at $1.8 million, with just under $1.5 million covered by federal funds and the rest coming from Lincoln Township. There will be no cost to Berrien County.
