A 33-year-old Indiana man is facing murder and weapons charges after police discovered a woman dead inside a mobile home in Niles Township Monday afternoon.

Authorities responded to a call around 1 p.m. at the Franklin Woods mobile home park, located on South 13th Street. Upon arrival, officers found the body of 29-year-old Courtney Hershberger inside the residence.

Investigators have not released details on how Hershberger died but confirmed that her death is being treated as suspicious.

The suspect, whose name has not yet been released, was taken into custody and is currently being held at the Berrien County Jail.
