Elkhart teen likely to plead guilty to attempted murder

An Elkhart teen may be pleading guilty to attempted murder.

18-year-old Antwoine Thomas Jr. is accused in a Washington Gardens shooting that happened in 2024 when he was 16.

Police say they believe that Thomas and another person worked together to plan the shooting.

The victim was hospitalized with brain swelling and brain surgery to remove the bullet.

According to The Goshen News, a plea agreement is believed to be coming, so the trial was continued to October 6.
