A South Bend man has been sentenced to more than eight years in federal prison after pleading guilty to being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, according to Acting U.S. Attorney M. Scott Proctor.

Terrence Dockery, 33, was sentenced to 100 months in prison followed by one year of supervised release. Th

Court documents state that Dockery was stopped by police while riding a moped late one summer night in South Bend. During the stop, officers discovered two firearms and approximately 30 grams of methamphetamine in his possession.

Dockery has a criminal history that includes multiple felony convictions, including dealing methamphetamine and arson, which legally prohibit him from possessing firearms.
