Michigan City police are investigating an early morning shooting that caused damage to the city’s police station.
The shooting occurred around 3:25 a.m. on Saturday, July 26, near the BP gas station at 1302 E. Michigan Boulevard. While the intended targets were not hurt, multiple rounds struck the police department building. Bullets damaged the exterior door of the main lobby and shattered a second-floor office window.
