A Michigan City man is facing felony charges after allegedly exposing himself to a gas station employee and stealing merchandise.
Police were called, Thursday afternoon, July 24, to the Meijer Gas Station on Franklin Street.
An employee said the suspect, identified as 33-year-old Immanuel Paul Means, made inappropriate comments, exposed himself, and followed her when she tried to walk away.
He then left the store. Surveillance footage showed Means hiding some items in his pants and leaving without paying.
The stolen items, worth more than $50 dollars, included condoms, lubricant, a lighter, and a candy bar. Later that evening, officers found Means naked on a sidewalk and arrested him.
He’s charged with public indecency and felony theft, both enhanced due to prior convictions. He remains in the LaPorte County Jail.
