Syracuse man killed in motorcycle/vehicle crash in Kosciusko County

A Syracuse man was killed in a crash between a motorcycle and a car in Kosciusko County.

The collision happened around 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 1, on County Road 650 North in Tippecanoe Township. Police say a Buick was turning into a driveway when it struck a Kawasaki motorcycle coming from the opposite direction.

The motorcyclist, Brenden Dilley, 22, was thrown from the bike and died at the scene. The 75-year-old woman driving the Buick, also from Syracuse, was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

I had seen the motorcycle earlier before the crash, heading north. The guy was speeding and slipping between cars on the highway. I’m thinking if I hear about a crash with a motorcycle, I’ll know it was him. Due to erratic driving. Sure enough later that night I read the news. We have road laws for a reason.
