Six people were arrested following a police chase that began after reports of a fight on Beaver Lane.
Goshen officers were called to the 1000 block of Beaver Lane around 4:15 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 16, for a disturbance after a woman reported seeing a group arguing outside her home. She told police one person was holding a rifle, though it was not pointed at anyone. The group fled in a black car before police arrived.
Police attempted to stop the vehicle connected to the incident, but the driver fled, leading officers on a brief pursuit. The vehicle eventually crashed into parked cars at East Lincoln Avenue and South 5th Street.
All six occupants ran from the scene but were quickly apprehended. Arrested were:
Brandon Chanrith Hong, 21, Goshen
Misael Vasquez-Macias, 24, Goshen
Veronica Vasquez-Macias, 29, Goshen
Renato Ernesto Cid-Munoz, 18, Goshen
Diego Rico Nunez, 25, Pierceton
Fabian Macias-Vasquez, 21, Goshen
Each was booked into the Elkhart County Jail on charges of resisting law enforcement. The investigation is ongoing.

At some point, I believe ICE will come to the area in a large group.
I’m not saying that any of these are here illegally, but there’s been a great influx in people without the American background of growing up.
As people get arrested for various crimes, that builds a database of people who are not American Citizens. When nonsense like this at 430AM happens in someone’s front yard, with a police chase in a vehicle, that ends with 6 fleeing on foot… those are felonies if I’m correct.
