South Bend man arrested on probation violation warrant

A 30-year-old man wanted on serious felony charges was taken into custody Friday following a joint effort between the St. Joseph County Police Warrants Team and the U.S. Marshals Service.
Authorities located and arrested Darius Laron Harper in the 1900 block of Randolph Street in South Bend. Police said Harper was wanted for violating the terms of his probation.
His underlying charges include attempted murder, aggravated battery posing a substantial risk of death, and carrying a handgun without a license.
Harper was booked into the St. Joseph County Jail.
