Jury trial continued for man accused of burglarizing former friend

A man accused of burglarizing a former friend had his jury trial continued last week.

Riley King is accused in a burglary that happened on Myrtle Street in Elkhart in July.

Police say they found the resident of the home walking down the street with a baseball bat, claiming that King had kicked in the back door of his home.

The victim said King had threatened to rob him the day before. King was arrested on charges of burglary, criminal mischief and battery, according to The Goshen News, and had his jury trial continued to November 3.
