Indiana Governor Mike Braun uses State Police helicopter for personal travel 11 times

(provided by his Senate office)
Indiana Governor Mike Braun has made extensive use of the Indiana State Police helicopter for personal travel, costing taxpayers $23,880 over 11 flights between March and August.
The trips included flights between his Jasper family home and Indianapolis, with the state also paying for a helipad installation at his home.
Braun’s travel included trips for official events, appearances, and personal visits.
The state has defended the expense, saying the flights are needed to meet FAA-mandated flight hour requirements for pilots.
