Michigan, Indiana differ on amount spent on hair care

On a list of states of where people spend the most and least on their hair care, Indiana and Michigan are on very different ends of the spectrum.

The cost of a haircut has gone up about 75 percent in the last two decades, according to WalletHub. In their new report of spending on hair care in all 50 states, Michigan finished 5th, while Indiana was 45th.

Michiganders spend roughly 1.46% of their income on their hair, while Hoosiers spend just 1.04%.

The highest percentage is spent in Arkansas, the lowest in New Jersey.
