A man has been sentenced over a year after a shootout.

It happened in July of 2024 when police say several people shot up an area on Bissell Street.

Four people were hit, and reports say over 200 shots were fired. Deshon Gates has been sentenced to four years for charges related to the case. He’s expected to spend about three years in prison after being in custody for over 200 days.

Gates is one of four people accused in the incident.
