It has been one week since an 8-year-old girl was critically injured in a shooting on South Bend’s west side.
The South Bend Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit says detectives have been working around the clock on the case. While no arrests have been made, investigators report they are making progress.
The girl remains hospitalized.
Police are again urging anyone with information about the shooting, which happened last Sunday in the 700 block of Lindenwood Drive, to come forward. Tips can be submitted anonymously to Michiana Crime Stoppers at 574-288-STOP or online at p3tips.com/203.
Crime Stoppers does not use caller ID or IP tracking, and tips that lead to an arrest in cases involving firearms may qualify for a reward of up to $1,000.
