South Bend man sentenced for meth distribution

A South Bend man has been sentenced to more than 16 years in federal prison for distributing methamphetamine.
35-year-old Martel Scott pleaded guilty after investigators found him with approximately five pounds of meth and over 200-thousand dollars in cash.
The U.S. Attorney’s office said the case shows there are “serious consequences” for those who distribute harmful drugs in the community.
