Comcast donates $10,000 to St. Joseph Health System for pediatric patient comfort

Comcast has made a $10,000 donation to the St. Joseph Health System.

The money will support pediatric patients in Mishawaka by upgrading technology and entertainment options for the children and their families.

Michiana Business News reports that Comcast seeks to integrate gaming systems and smart TVs into pediatric hospital rooms to try and establish a sense of normalcy during a child’s hospital stay. Congressman Rudy Yakym expressed his gratitude for Comcast’s commitment to support families in the community.

The donation is part of the company’s Project UP, a one billion dollar commitment to advancing digital opportunity. They’ve donated more than $3 million in cash and in-kind donations to Indiana nonprofits in the past three years.
