Two people injured in Millersburg intersection crash

Two women were injured in a collision at the intersection of County Road 42 and State Road 13.

According to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred around 7:35 p.m. on Monday, Sep. 1, when a 2019 Ford Escape, driven by a 94-year-old from Middlebury, failed to stop at a stop sign while traveling west on County Road 42. The vehicle struck a 2015 Chevrolet Malibu driven southbound on State Road 13 by a 25-year-old from Nappanee.

The 94-year-old complained of chest and hip pain and was transported to Goshen General Hospital. The 25-year-old reported pain along the left side of the body, from shoulder to knee, but was treated at the scene and released. Authorities confirmed that the injuries were not life-threatening.
