A man has been sentenced for his part in a deadly drug deal gone wrong.

Stephonn Sutton was sentenced to serve 55 years in jail for the shooting death of Toby Ray Fisher who was found dead at River Run Apartments in Elkhart.

It happened last November when a woman allegedly coordinated the drug deal. During the deal, Fisher reportedly attempted a robbery before being shot.

Sutton said he feels that he is being held accountable for a drug dealer that killed his friend and that justice is not being served. The Goshen News says Sutton did apologize for his actions and to Fisher’s family.
