Amarion Cutler has been sentenced in connection with the shooting death of 12 year-old Josiah Small in South Bend.

Cutler was arrested in November of 2023 and charged with the shooting death, as well as the wounding of a 14 year-old boy. He entered a plea agreement that led to the dismissal of several murder charges, and was given 23 years behind bars for two counts of aggravated battery.

A second suspect, Nagomba White, also pleaded guilty but has not been sentenced.
