The South Bend Police Department is working with University of Notre Dame Police to investigate this case and ensure the safety of all residents and guests on and around campus ahead of this weekend’s home football game against Purdue. This, following gunfire on Eddy Street that damaged five vehicles and two apartments during last week’s game.
While at least two individuals were detained during the initial response, no arrests have been made at this time.
Police say hundreds of people were in the area when the shots were fired. So they’re asking anybody with information to call the South Bend Police Detective Bureau or Michiana Crime Stoppers.
