A South Bend man has been arrested after police say a Facebook Marketplace sale turned into an armed robbery.

Police say around 8:40 p.m. Thursday, a woman met a man to sell her PlayStation 5 at the Charles Black Community Center after he asked her to change meeting locations.

During the exchange, the suspect allegedly pointed a gun at her chest and demanded the items before fleeing.

Officers used surveillance footage and license plate data to track the suspect, 22-year-old Dontrell Pierce, to a nearby home, recovering two handguns and stolen gaming accessories.

Pierce faces charges of armed robbery, pointing a firearm and unlawful carrying of a handgun.
