A former daycare worker in Elkhart County is facing new charges of child seduction, child molesting, and public indecency dating back to 2022.

26-year-old Jamie Sherfick was accused of putting his hand down the pants of a nonverbal 7-year-old while exposing and touching himself in the facility’s playroom.

The incident was reported by a coworker who witnessed the act and reported it to her supervisor.

The former employee of Little Peoples Daycare and Behavior Analysis Center for Autism was arrested in November 2024 after a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children led to the discovery of explicit files on his Google account.
