Two people were taken to the hospital following a rear-end collision on State Road 15 near Industrial Drive in New Paris.
The crash happened around 6:50 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 20, when a Buick LaSabre driven by a 23-year-old Madison, Indiana man was traveling northeast on State Road 15 and struck the back of a Chevrolet Malibu that was stopped or slowing to turn west onto Industrial Drive.
The impact pushed the Malibu into a nearby parking lot on Tarman Road, where it came to rest.
The driver of the Malibu, a 65-year-old Nappanee man, complained of back pain and was transported to Goshen Hospital. His passenger, 64-year-old woman from Nappanee, was also taken to Goshen Hospital for complaints of neck and chest pain.
The driver who police say caused the crash was not hurt, but was cited for following too closely.
