An Elkhart woman has pleaded guilty to murder in the death of her 6-year-old stepson.
27-year-old Cheyenne Elmore could face up to 60 years when sentenced in January. The boy died in August from severe injuries at their home.
Her plea comes about a month after his dad also admitted to murder.
Court documents show the boy suffered a traumatic brain injury and a punctured lung, even though the couple initially claimed he hurt himself.
