The North Liberty community held a rally Saturday to save the century-old Naragon barn at Potato Creek Park in St. Joseph County from demolition.

Organizer Eugene Matzat and former owner Annette Martin claim people are refusing to discuss alternatives, despite a friends group offering to fundraise for renovations.

The community feels the barn is a vital part of the park’s history and should be saved or moved.
