Michigan Unclaimed Property is launching a friendly rivalry with Ohio in the “Find Forgotten Funds—Football Edition” challenge.

With focus on the November 29 Michigan–Ohio State game, the competition puts residents of both states against each other to see who can claim the most unclaimed cash.

Terry Stanton with Michigan Unclaimed Property says it’s a fun way to embrace the rivalry while reminding people that forgotten funds are always available to their rightful owners.

Michigan won last year, but at the halfway mark, Ohio holds a narrow lead.

Residents can search for missing money at Michigan.gov/UnclaimedProperty through November 30.
