Concord Mall to be turned into business park

Developers are transforming the Concord Mall into a 400,000-square-foot business park with space for manufacturing, warehouses, and offices.
The mall had mostly emptied, with only a few retailers remaining, said Ryan White, managing broker for Pinnacle Properties.
Renovations began two years ago, including removing a second floor to create more warehouse space. Some retailers, including Hobby Lobby, will remain.
The project will bring new jobs to South Main Street, and parts of the space could later convert to retail or multi-family housing.
