One person was killed in a crash involving a semi-truck in Marshall County. It happened around 9:45 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 11, on U.S. 30 west of U.S. 31.

Authorities say Thomas Diener of Wisconsin was stopped on the north shoulder behind a disabled truck while a tow company was hooking it up.

A westbound semi-truck struck Diener’s pickup and the disabled vehicle.

Diener was ejected from his truck and pronounced dead at the scene.
