A first-of-its-kind project is underway in Mishawaka as the Miracle League Field of Northern Indiana takes shape at Normain Heights Park.

It will be Indiana’s first public space fully designed for people of all abilities to play baseball, enjoy an inclusive playground and cool off at a splash pad.

Supporters say the goal is simple: remove barriers so every child and adult, regardless of physical or cognitive ability, can experience the joy of play and community.

The nonprofit is now asking for public support. Donations help cover everything from adaptive equipment and player sponsorships to game-day staffing, uniforms and snacks for athletes and volunteers.
