‘Sunny’s Bill’ designed to give research animals second chance at life

State Representative Dave Hall has introduced “Sunny’s Bill,” a new piece of legislation designed to give research animals a second chance at life.
House Bill 1203 would require research laboratories to offer healthy dogs and cats for adoption once their work in the lab is finished.
The bill is named after a rescued beagle named Sunny and follows similar laws already passed in states like Michigan and Iowa.
