A Warsaw High School graduate played a key role in Sunday night’s playoff game between the Los Angeles Rams and Chicago Bears.
Harrison Mevis, who joined the Rams during the season, kicked a 42-yard field goal in overtime to give Los Angeles a 20–17 win after the Rams intercepted Caleb Williams on Chicago’s first possession of the extra period.
The game went to overtime after Williams completed a fourth-down touchdown pass in the final seconds of regulation. The Rams then moved into field-goal range when Matthew Stafford connected with Puka Nacua on a 16-yard pass, setting up Mevis for the winning kick.
Teammates surrounded Mevis as the crowd fell quiet.
