Warsaw man sentenced for firearm possession, drug use

A Warsaw man has been sentenced to nearly four years in federal prison for possessing firearms while using illegal drugs.
Gary Schmucker, 47, was convicted following a standoff with police in 2024.
Prosecutors say Schmucker was in possession of several weapons, including a rapid-fire rifle, while under the influence of methamphetamine and marijuana.

I’m still waiting to be informed what a “rapid fire rifle” is. Was it a Ruger 10/22 .22 rimfire? Was it a bolt action 30-06? Was it a lever action 44-40? People working int he news space should want to know. Was the term “Rapid Fire”Rifle” used to make this mugwump seem much more dangerous that he really was?
