Bravo Trailers permanently laid off 118 employees on Monday, according to court documents.

WSBT says workers were notified by text and email that their jobs and health insurance ended immediately.

The layoffs come as Bravo Trailers is being sued by the First State Bank of Middlebury after allegedly defaulting on mortgage payments.

Court filings also claim the company built up more than 47,000 dollars in unpaid utility bills.

The bank is seeking temporary control of the property, citing safety concerns as winter weather continues. Heat is scheduled to be shut off February 2, which could lead to frozen pipes and building damage.

A judge has granted the bank a temporary restraining order to protect the property.
