It’s not exactly an invasion, but The State of Michigan is making preparations to fight back against a pest with controlled hunting.

We’re talking about armadillos, not something you immediately think of when you think of The Great Lakes State. However, Bridge Michigan reports six of the little critters were confirmed in the state between 1989 and 2022, with some wildlife officials believing they were brought in.

The Natural Resources Commission believes they are in the state, thanks to a handful of roadkill.

No live armadillos have been confirmed in Michigan, but plans for controlled hunts are being drawn up if they become a problem.
