Casino operators and communities are exploring potential projects for inland casino gambling in Steuben County.
The county legislative body has until June 1, 2026, to adopt a resolution seeking approval from voters to permit inland casino gambling.
If approved, the referendum question will be put before voters on the general election ballot on Nov. 3, 2026. If the public question passes, the county commissioners will support the relocation of the Ohio County license to an inland casino in Steuben County.
Applications for license relocation will be accepted from Oct. 1 to Dec. 1.
