A Nappanee man was injured after a crash early Monday morning south of New Paris.
The crash happened around 6 a.m. on County Road 29 just south of County Road 52, about two miles south of the city limits.
According to investigators, a 2007 Buick LaCrosse driven by 36-year-old Shaun Cochrane was traveling southbound on County Road 29 when it failed to maintain its lane and crossed into the northbound lane. While attempting to correct, the driver lost control, left the roadway, struck a fence, overturned and came to rest in a small pond.
Cochrane, who was wearing a seatbelt, complained of left arm pain and was transported from the scene for treatment.
The Elkhart County Crash Investigation Team is investigating. Authorities say no enforcement action has been taken at this time, and drug and alcohol test results are pending.
