MDOT to resume construction on I-94 in Berrien Co.

Orange barrel season has returned to I-94 in Berrien County.

This week, crews from MDOT are making preparations to resume the $204 million reconstruction project. Construction is scheduled this year on the stretch between Washington and Britain Avenues, and will see ramp closures at Niles Road, M-139, Pipestone and Napier.

Detours will be posted as the project shifts from area to area, and two lanes of travel will remain open throughout the work. MDOT expects to be finished in the fall.
