Communities in Berrien County are coming together to discuss a possible regional transit system.

The Southwest Michigan Regional Chamber and the county’s transit committee are meeting to discuss a possible a future after the Twin Cities Area Transportation Authority loses its state funding in October. Officials from all over the county have been involved in the discussions, which include seeking a way to keep serving current TCATA customers.

The stoppage of state funding has communities around the state officially taking positions on the issues of funding and access.
