Bomb threat temporarily closes St. Joseph Medical Center in Plymouth

St. Joseph Medical Center in Plymouth reopened following a bomb threat that led to an evacuation Monday evening.

Hospital leaders said nine patients were moved out safely.

Two were discharged, six were transferred to Saint Joseph Mishawaka Medical Center, and one was taken to Community Hospital of Bremen.

Staff continued to monitor and care for each patient during the evacuation.

Some patients were placed on a bus to stay warm while waiting for ambulances. Families were notified throughout the process.
