Several communities in the area reported problems with tornado sirens following Tuesday’s statewide tornado drill.
The Baugo Township Fire Department says both of its sirens are currently not working. Bremen Police say some of their sirens also appear to be having issues.
In Marshall County, officials say two sirens failed to activate during the test – one at the Plymouth Industrial Park and another at the Plymouth Motor Speedway.
Emergency officials are reminding residents not to rely solely on sirens and to have multiple ways to receive weather alerts, including NOAA Weather Radios and emergency alerts on cell phones.
