New plans are in the works for additional renovations at Ullery Park on the south side of Elkhart.

Located at Sixth and Cleveland, the park has been a gathering place for generations of families. City leaders are now looking to build on past improvements and expand what the space can offer.

City Councilwoman LaTonya King says community input is helping shape the next phase, with ideas including a splash pad and additional playground equipment.

The park previously underwent a $75,000 renovation in 2021.

WSBT says planning is underway for new upgrades in 2026, with renderings and a possible groundbreaking expected to happen in May.
