An 8-year-old girl was injured in a golf cart crash in Elkhart.

Police say the crash happened just after 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, AApril 14, on Fairwind Drive, south of Arbutus Court. The child was driving a golf cart southbound when it left the roadway and struck a tree.

Guzman suffered minor injuries, including bleeding. A 44-year-old passenger was also in the vehicle.

Authorities say both the driver and passenger were issued warnings for ordinance violations.
